DANIEL ELI HOWARD, SR. Florence, SC Daniel Eli Howard, Sr., 70, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Howard was born in Georgetown, SC a son of the late Charles Kendrick Howard, Sr. and Louise Mize Howard.He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served a tour in Europe and a tour in Vietnam.He was owner and operator of AAA Extermination and Home Improvement Co. in Florence for 37 years and a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles K. Howard, Jr. and Alex Howard and by a sister, Amy Lewis. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Kay Messick Howard of Florence; son, Daniel “Danny” Howard, Jr. of East Bend, NC; daughter, Michele Howard and her fiancé, Steve Green, of Townsend, Delaware; sister, Brenda Thompson of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren, Cirston McNeil, Danielle Howard, Alyssa Rickoski, Kyle Rickoski, Jacob Rickoski, Eden Rickoski and Nico Rickoski; his faithful canine companion, miniature dachshund,Gretchen; special friends, JoAnn and Ken Rickoski, James Allen and Frances and Allen Legette. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2013 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. James Smith, Dr. F.
