Daniel "Doll" Webster Thompson

Daniel "Doll" Webster Thompson, 85, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026.

He was born in Johnsonville, SC, the son of the late Herbalot Thompson and Beulah Marlow Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a hard-working man, who spent most of his life working and operating many different stores. He enjoyed fishing, mowing the lawn, and gardening. He adored his loving family most of all.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Poston; and 5 siblings.

Surviving are his loving wife, of 53 years, Brenda Thompson; daughters, Michelle Thompson (Joe) Powell and Belinda (Ken) Whitehead; grandchildren, Kerry Neil (Jessica) Powell, Danielle (Jared) Wise, Erin (Chase) Tyler, Kenzie Walker, Jami (Charles) Foxworth, and Carly (Elijah) Ward; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Joe Thompson; and sister, Bonnie (Bunk) Stone.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
