Daniel Oscar Dimmery

Daniel Oscar Dimmery, 79, of Effingham, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was born a son of the late, Mamie Lee McDaniel Dimmery and Fred Harry Dimmery. He was the owner and operator of Plasti-Magic Enterprises for 30 years. Mr. Dimmery was a member of Dawsey United Methodist church. He was also a member of Woodman of the World chapter 52 for 50 years and a charter member of the Carolina Pelican RV Club. He loved traveling and making wine. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Johnnie Dimmery. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Bourne Dimmery; daughter, Deanne Morris (Chad) of Florence; brother, Ted Dimmery (Dianne) of Marion, SC and sisters, Bonnie Stephenson of Mullins, SC and Vickie Turner (Buddy) of Kinston, NC. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed.
