Daisy Haines Thompson, 98, of Florence, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
She was born in Pamplico, SC, the daughter of the late George Kenneth Haines and Hulda Kennedy Haines.
Daisy was a faithful member of Mt. Elon Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Thompson's Wholesale Florist in Lumberton, where she shared her love and talent for arranging beautiful flowers. To her family, she was simply the very best mom, and her love and memory will be cherished forever.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Otto Robert Thompson Jr.; son, Derrick Thomspon; brothers, George Haines, Johnny Haines, and Jimmy Haines; Louise (Rex) Hobgood, Josephine (Charles) Marsh and Ruth Ann (Harvey) Bailey.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda Marsh, Jeannie Finklea, Helen (Sidney) Hughes, Marcia Thompson, and Robbie Thompson; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
