D. Legrand Weaver

D. Legrand “Tater” Weaver, 69, of Florence, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born in Florence County , a son of the late Joel Weaver and Thelma Martin Weaver. He was a Certified Welder for Vulcraft for 20 years and retired as a farmer. He was a member of the Bethsaida United Methodist Church and the Ruritan Club. He was also a avid hunter and fisherman. He survived by Wife, Cathy Munn Weaver of Florence; Son, Terry L. Weaver (Lucrecia) of Florence; Daughter, Sherry Thompson (Scott) of Timmonsville, SC; Grandchildren, Cassidy Richardson (Justin), Kaylee Weaver (Shawn), Emily Viering (Brandon), Oakley Thompson ;Brothers, Carrol Weaver (Renee) and James Weaver (Charlene) of Scranton, Sc; Sisters, Nancy Strickland of Scranton, SC and Marjorie Kirby of Coward, SC and had many special friends. Memorials may be made to Bethsaida United Methodist Church, 117 E. Christmas Circle, Effingham, SC 29541 The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 25, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, April 26, at Bethsaida United Methodist Church, 4713 S. Irby Street, Effingham, SC29541. Burial will follow at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed.
