Cynthia Clay Powell

Cynthia Clay Powell, 73, of Coward, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Mrs. Powell was born a daughter of the late Ethel Smith Clay and Earl Clay.She was a teacher at Ronald E. McNair Middle School in Lake City and was a technology coach for teachers. Mrs. Powell was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Clay Powell. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Randy Powell; daughter, Abigail Powell and sister, Libby Phillips (Gary) of Virginia. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Immanuel Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Matthews Cemetery in Coward directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The service can be viewed on Immanuel Baptist Church Face Book Page. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Sunday at the Church.
