Cynthia Diane Hampton

Cynthia Diane Hampton, 69, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Hampton was born a daughter of the late Adelaide Ruth Henry Harmon and Archie Sinclair Harmon. She attended Conede Business College and was a dispatcher and secretary for Jackson Emergency Medical Service, retiring after eleven years of service.Mrs. Hampton attended Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William Eugene “Billy” Hampton, Sr.; sons, Jody M. Sweeney (Candy) and Jamie A. Sweeney (Kim), both of Jackson, MI; step-children, Gene Hampton and Camilla Pace, both of Florence, SC; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Archie “Bubba” Harmon, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC and sisters, Pam Smith and Norma Hallex, both of Summerville, SC. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
