Colies Eugene Wilkes

Colies Eugene Wilkes, 73, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Mr. Wilkes was born the son of the late Ruth Broach Wilkes and Colies Wilkes. He was a heavy machine operator and avid fisher.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bascom Wilkes and Otis Wilkes.

Surviving are his sons, Bradley Wilkes (Rita Bowen), Wesley Wilkes and Timothy Wilkes (Mallory); daughter, Allison Ferrell; grandchildren, Brianna Wilkes, Brendon Wilkes, Dani Wilkes, Robert Ferrell, Madeline Blaton (Brooks); great-grandchildren, Baylor Blayton, Waylon Blaton and Allison Blaton; sisters, Carolyn Young, Diane Orcutt and Lois Hudson and many nieces and nephews.
