Clifford Lee Ayers

CLIFFORD LEE AYERS FLORENCE, S.C. CLIFFORD LEE AYERS, 75, of Florence passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Ayers was born in Ewing, VA, a son of the late Lawrence and Bessie Marcom Ayers. He was a US Army veteran, and for many years served as CEO of Ayers Manufacturing. He is survived by his wife Peggy Carmon Ayers of Florence; his daughter, Lisa (Brad) Goff of Florence; 2 brothers, Willard (Helen) Ayers of Ewing, VA and Bill Ayers of Raleigh, NC and a sister, Brenda ( Ben) Mullins of Pinnington Gap, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 21, 2012 in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
