Clarence William Owens

Clarence “Toby” William Owens, 73, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017. Mr. Owens was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Willard Owens and Alice Johnson Owens. Surviving are his sons, Clarence Russell (Stacie) Owens, Michael (Scarlet) Medina, and Chris (Denise) Medina, all of Florence, Danny (Tina) Medina of Maryland and Bob (Tyiease) Sosna of Georgia; daughters, Kim Sawyer of Effingham and Cindy (Raymond) Mincey of Florence; grandchildren, Sarah Owens, Rebecca Owens, Emily Bone, Tristin Sawyer and Austin Sawyer; brothers, Herman Owens, Alford Owens, Jimmy Earl Owens, James Owens and Mike Owens; and sisters, Geraldine Powell and Lucille Harrelson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Owens; daughter; Robin Todd;grandson, Chase Sawyer; and sister, Francis Jordan. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the home of Russell and Stacie Owens. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mac Atkinson, Jr. officiating. Family is being assisted by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
