Cheryl Lyerly Cox, 76, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

She was born in Lake City, SC, the daughter of the late Eugene Lyerly and Beatrice Cameron Lyerly. Mrs. Cox was a member of Southside Baptist Church, where she loved to volunteer. She enjoyed fishing, working in the yard with her flowers, and being outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Carlton Lyerly and Ronald Lyerly.

Surviving are her husband, Russell Cox; sons, Will (Chasity) Brown and Craig (Marie) Brown; stepdaughter; Marti (Brent) Powell; stepson, Rusty Cox; grandchildren, Cayden Brown and Alyssa Brown; step-grandchildren, Madelyne Powell, Olivia Powell, Madison Cox, and Hunter Cox; sisters, Bonnie (Allen) Coward and Nancy Long; and brother, Larry Lyerly.

The family will receive from 2:00 PM to 3:00PM, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
