Chase Brent Sawyer

CHASE BRENT SAWYER EFFINGHAM, SC Chase Brent Sawyer, 12, of Effingham, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Chase was born in Longwood, FL a son of Jonathan “Jon” Lee Sawyer and Kim Owens Sawyer.He was a student at Southside Middle School, played baseball at the Delmae Baseball Field and Southside football. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Eve Clark and his paternal step-grandmother, Pat “Nanna” Owens. Surviving are his mother of Effingham; father and step-mother, Robin Sawyer of Darlington; brothers, Tristin and Austin Sawyer of Effingham and Ashton Sawyer of Darlington; sister, Alexis Suggs of Darlington; maternal grandfather, Toby Owens of Florence; paternal grandparents, Harry and Priscilla Sawyer of Darlington; maternal step-grandfather, Everette “Papa Kit Kat” Clark of Hartsville. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends anytime at his residence.
