Charlotte Louise Lewis

Charlotte Louise Lewis of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the age of 88. Charlotte was born to parents Jesse and Lottie Jones on August 22, 1928 in Pamplico, SC.She grew up in Florence and graduated from McClenaghan High School in 1946. In July 1950, she married William G. Lewis and the couple were blessed with 2 children.Charlotte worked as a stock associate at Belk, and after marriage devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother.She will be forever remembered by all who crossed her path as a sweet, kind, and loving servant of God. She is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, ten brothers and sisters, and grandson William Pittman. Charlotte is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Gayle Pittman and spouse Marshall and Joyce Lynn Swann and spouse David; grandchildren, Lesa Cole, Julia Edwards, Tommy Sawyer, and Brandy Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Colin and Abigail Cole, Savannah, Emily and Lily Edwards, Tyler Sawyer, Ashley and Lauren Botek. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Stoudenmire Dowling Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Florence Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
