Charlie Butler

CHARLIE BUTLER FLORENCE, S.C. CHARLIE BUTLER, 80, of Florence, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Butler was born in Marlboro County, a son of the late Jess and Mary Braddock Butler. He was retired from Sealtest Dairies as a supervisor, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Joseph Daniel Butler of Florence; a granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth West of Florence; a brother, Olin D. Butler of Myrtle Beach and a sister, Esto Goins of Bennettsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Rebecca West who died in 2009, by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 13, 2012 in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of one's choice.
