Charles Daniel "Danny" Snead

Charles Daniel “Danny” Snead, 68, of Effingham, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Mr. Snead was born in Richmond Co., NC a son of the late Henry D. Snead and Alice Melton Snead. He was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple and retired as the Director of Emergency Preparedness for Florence County after more than 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Tommy Snead. Surviving are his wife, Dianne Dodd Snead of Effingham; sons, Christopher Ryan (Tara Jane) Snead, Jameson Parker (Cadie) Snead, Charles Daniel (Susan) Snead, Jr. and Thomas “Dusty” Snead; daughter, Lisa (Dale) Hicks; grandchildren, Delaney Snead, Darby Snead, Casey Snead, T.J. Snead, Tyler Snead, Anthony (Bethany) Bibey, Crystal (Kyle) Leenheer, Tiffany Hicks and Dakota Hicks; brother, Jerry Allen (Anne) Snead. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, alz.org or to the Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, at Florence Baptist Temple Chapel. Entombment will be at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
