Chad Sammie Stone Florence, SC Chad Sammie Stone, 35, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, May 27, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Southside Baptist Church. There will be a visitation at the church from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Stone Cemetery in Johnsonville, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Chad was born in Darlington, SC a son of Barbara Brogden and Sammie Olin Stone, Sr. He attended The Byrnes Schools from 3-K until he graduated in 1996. While he was in high school, Chad was involved with the Windy Hill Fire Department, Chad was at his happiest when he was working with the Florence County Sheriff’s Department.He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother whom he adored, Lucille (Troy) Brogden and two siblings, Sandy Michelle Stone and Sammie Olin Stone, Jr. Surviving are his loving wife, Chris Register Stone and their 10 year old daughter, Casey McKenna Stone of Florence; parents of Florence; brother, Kipp Norman (Jennifer) Stone of Florence; sister, Samra (Don) Baxley and their son, Barry Baxley, all of Johnsonville; uncles, Steve (Debbie) Brogden and their daughters, Ashley and Allyssa, all of Florence and Randy (Gail) Stone and their son, Austin (Kellie) Stone, all of Johnsonville; paternal grandmother, Miriam Taylor of Johnsonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1356 Pineland Drive, Florence, SC29505. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
