Cecil Newton Brown

Cecil Newton Brown, 95, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Mrs. Brown was born a daughter of the late Lawrence Newton and Ada O’Roark Newton.She was a very special, loving and caring lady.She never forgot anyone’s birthday.Mrs. Brown was a very independent person. She is survived by her sons, David E. Smith, Jr. (Victoria) of Florence, Michael C. Smith, Sr. of Maryland and Raymond “Sonny” Griffin, Jr. of Conway; sisters, Carol Ray Moody and Pearl Ray; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harvey T. Brown; son, Lawrence D. Smith; a grandchild and five sisters.
