CATHERINE JOHNSON “CATHY” MORRIS FLORENCE, SC CATHERINE JOHNSON “CATHY” JOHNSON, 67, of Florence, passed away Friday, March 07, 2014 in a local hospital after an illness. Cathy was born in Laurinburg, NC, a daughter of the late George Wesley and Reba Ann Kersey Johnson. She was a homemaker whose home was her pride and joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Austin Morris. She is survived by her brothers, John Wesley (Myrtle) Johnson, Sr. of Gwynn Oak, MD and James Howard (Joann) Johnson of Linthicum Heights, MD, a number of nieces and nephews, special friends, Darlene and Roby Pruitt of Florence, David Metcalf of Florence, and a very special part of her life, Anthony Pruitt of Florence. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Entombment will follow, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 prior to the service in the Mausoleum Chapel.
