CAROLYN LIVINGSTON LONG FLORENCE, SC CAROLYN LIVINGSTON LONG, 81, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at her residence after an illness. Mrs. Long was born in Newberry, SC, a daughter of the late Jacob Henry Allen Livingston and Bertha Eve Summers Livingston.She was one of thirteen children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to the love and care of her family, which she considered to be her legacy. Mrs. Long was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Cephus Werts Long. Surviving are her daughter, Carolanne Long Wells and her husband, Elbert Yancy Wells, of Florence; her grandchildren, Charlotte Wells Styles and her husband, Joshua James Styles, of Greer, Mark Yancy Wells and his wife, Shannon Small Wells, of Florence, and Catherine Laurel Wells of Florence;her great-grandchildren, Cara Noelle Styles, Anna Caroline Styles, and John Mark Wells; her sisters, Ramah Livingston Ward of Rock Hill and Sally Livingston Nicholson of Columbia; her brother, Bobby Gerald Livingston of Trenton; and her very dear friend, Eloise James. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
