Carol Ruth Schroeppel

Carol Ruth Peterson Schroeppel, 88, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House. Born June 19, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, Carol was the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Ruth Erickson Peterson.She was an office manager in the medical field and was a member of Bethany Bible Chapel.Carol was loved by everyone because of her sweet disposition and ever present smile.She was a dedicated servant and an outstanding hard worker.Carol served her family, church and community selflessly.She was also talented in many areas – from an artist to a seamstress. She served God first and loved each church she attended.She was gifted in music, leading bible studies and in children’s work. Carol is survived by her daughter, Karen S. Nelson (Gary) of Florence; sons, Richard Schroeppel and Robert Schroeppel; grandchildren, Whitney Nelson Crawford (William), Kristofor Carl “KC” Nelson (Roxanne Keery) and Gunnar Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Ashton Keery and Zoey Nelson. In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her husband, Carl Bernhardt Schroeppel, Jr. A memorial service for Carol will be incorporated into the Sunday service on July 15, 2018 held at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Bible Chapel, 1668 Four Mile Road, Conway, SC29526.The service will be followed with a meal at noon where personal reflections can be shared.
