Carol Charlotte Gray Murray

Carol Charlotte Murray, 84, of Florence, SC passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026.

She was born in Kearney, New Jersey, to the late Elemeda Ralph and Robert Gray.

Carol was a teacher who cared deeply about others. She loved to paint and found joy in being creative.

She enjoyed sailing and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Being on the water made her happy.

She also loved simple pleasures, flower gardening, watching deer, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Carol will be remembered for her kindness, her love of nature, and her devotion to family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Murray.

Surviving are her brothers, William R. Gray (Diana) and Robert C. Gray (Laurie); nieces and nephews, Rachel Kristinson (Ken), Anthony Austin, Kimberly Austin, Wiliam Kyle Gray (Nicola), Robert Gray (Melanie), Ian Gray (Whitney), and Scott Gray (Tonya); great nieces and nephews, Alexander Kristinson, Konnor Kristinson, Kaitlin Austin, Alicia Austin Spenkle (Luke), Kyla Reinhart, Mika Reinhart, Emma Gray, Keelin Gray, Hayley Gray, Lexie Gray, Jude Gray, Grayson Gray, Micah Gray, Coleman Gray, Luke Gray, Mary Gray.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
