Calvin Cyrus “C.C.” Wilson Florence, SC Calvin Cyrus “C.C.” Wilson, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, November 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 in Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson was born in Lexington, NC., a son of the late Minor Calvin Wilson and Allie Mae Watts Wilson. He was a member of Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church. He was employed with Colonial Stores and was also owner and operator of Wilson’s Used Cars for over 30 years.He was a loving husband, loving father to his daughters, loving grandfather to his grandchildren and was loved by many for his sunny disposition. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John J. Wilson and sisters, Mary Wright and Lucille Thomas. Surviving are his loving wife, Eloise Poston Wilson, of the home; daughters, Linda Ann Wilson (Benny) McCall of North Myrtle Beach, and Phyllis Kay Wilson Preston of Florence; sister Drucilla Taylor of Rockingham, NC; 3 step-children, Janet (Andy) Burroughs, Kathy (Casey) Welch, Shirleen(Jimmy) Cook;step-son-in-law, Garry Coward; 2 grandchildren, Shawn (Tabetha) Preston of Bennettsville and Vivian McCall of Surfside; 3 great-grandchildren, Coy Preston, Shannon Preston, Hailey Preston; 7 Step-Grandchildren, Drew Burroughs, Ryan Yarborough, Jamie Cook, Leslie Welch (Kyle)McClam, BradleyWelch, Chris Welch and Karri Coward and a number of nieces and nephews.He will also be greatly missed by his faithful canine companion, Skippy.
