Calvin Elvin Harrell

Calvin Elvin Harrell, 82, of Effingham, SC passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Harrell was born in Murfreesboro, NC, a son of the late Edgar Hyman Harrell and Elizabeth Gertrude Howell.He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife of thirty-five years, Virginia Lynch Harrell; his son, David (Donna Lee) Harrell and their son, Nicholas Lee Harrell; step-children, Diane Stone (Terry), Lynn Gray (Kevin), and Helen Cain;six step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and his siblings, Thelma Helms, Page Bryant, Barbara Baker, Kenneth Harrell and Ronnie Harrell. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in North Carolina.The family is being assisted by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
