Brent Jackson Cox

Brent Jackson Cox, 60, of Florence, SC, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 after a battle with COPD.

He is the son of Bennie Jackson Cox and Brenda Nutter Cox.

Brent had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and spending time working hands-on around his farm. He was known for his huge heart and generous spirit, always willing to give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. With his goofy personality and easygoing nature, Brent embraced life with a smile, living by the words of Bob Marley’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” one of his favorite songs. He also enjoyed watching Western shows in his spare time. Above all, Brent cherished the people in his life, holding his friends close and his family especially dear. His beloved dog, Nitro, also held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his parents Bennie and Brenda Cox, he is survived by his daughters, Emilee Caroline Cox (Trey Norton) and Sarah Anne Cox; sister, Sonya Cox Lowe Venturella (Tony); Niece, Kristen Lowe; Nephews, Hunter (Kara) Lowe and Drake (Kate) Lowe; Great Nieces, Laney and Julianne Lowe; and great nephew, Reynolds Lowe.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Mildred Nutter and DeCarr and Louise Cox.

The funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Florence Memorial Garden Chapel.

The committal will follow the service and the family will receive friends and family following the service.
