Bonnie Hooker Stalvey

Bonnie Hooker Stalvey, 70, of Florence, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 in the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Bonnie was born in Columbia, a daughter of the late James Carlisle and Gaynelle Stukes Hooker. She trained and worked as a medical assistant, and was church pianist for Horrell Hill Baptist Church in Hopkins, SC for many years. Surviving are her children, Barbara S. (Franky) Moore of Florence; Eddie Stalvey of Jacksonville, Fl and Shari S. Bunt of Columbia; grandchildren; Frankie Moore, Jr., Christopher Moore, Dustin Bunt, Victoria Moore Franklin and Kristin Bunt; great-grandchildren; Aydan Moore and Parker Moore; and her sister, Susan (Jack) Young of Homestead, FL. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernie E. Stalvey, a granddaughter, Whitney Moore and a step-son, Joe Bernie Stalvey. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Florence National Cemetery.
