Bonnie Shaw Edwards

Bonnie Shaw Edwards, 72, of Darlington, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Ms. Edwards was born a daughter of the late Fred T. Shaw, Sr. and Ida Bonieta Ingram Shaw. Bonnie was a student at Florence-Darlington TECH. She later became an instructor with the Dental Assistant Program at Florence-Darlington TECH. Bonnie was married to Bobby Edwards on October 21, 1966, in Hartsville, SC.Together they moved to Hollywood, FL withdaughter, Maree. Bonnie worked and retired as a Dental Office Manager in Hollywood, FL.After retiring, Bonnie and Bobby moved to Florence, SC. She later became a member of Bethea Retirement Community and attended church at Bethea Pastored by Jeff Cockrell.Bonnie was a loving and caring mother, loved by many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Maurice Edwards,and brother, Fred Shaw, Jr. Ms. Edwards is survived by her daughter, Bonita Maree Robb (Anthony) of Florence and grandchildren, Isabella Robb, Branton Robb and Colton Robb.She is also survived by sister-in-law, Margie Shaw; nephews, Jeff Shaw (Shannon) and Greg Shaw (Amy) to whom she was thought of as a second mother; and great-nephews, Alex Shaw (Meghan) and Casey Shaw. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed.
