Bobby Bennett Lee

Bobby Bennett Lee, Sr., 82, of Timmonsville, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Mr. Lee was born in Florence, a son of the late Elbert Lee and Myrtie Lee. He attended Florence County Schools and Horry-Georgetown Technical College.Mr. Lee was a veteran of the US Army.He was the market manager at Winn Dixie for forty-one years. Mr. Lee was a faithful member of Palmetto Street Church of God and the Seniors Alive Sunday School Class. He taught Sunday School and held other positions in the church over the years. He was a Godly example to all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Turner Lee; sisters, Mary Case and Minnie Lou Carraway; brothers, Woodrow Lee, Joseph E. Lee, and Elbert D. Lee. Surviving are his children, Alice Jeanette Rhodes (Gregg) of Greenville, SC, Carole Lee Monroe (David) of Clemson, and Bobby Bennett Lee, Jr. of Timmonsville; his grandchildren, Christy Killman (John), Seth Monroe (Carrie), Jennifer Monroe; and his sisters, Sybil Cade of North, SC, Virginia Alford of Pamplico and Betty Verburg (Gilbert) of North Charleston. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Palmetto Street Church of God Family Life Center.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
