Blanche Sawyer Grace

Blanche Sawyer Grace, 81, of Effingham, S.C. has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.Mrs. Grace was born in Conway, S.C. on September 13, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Greenville Grandy “Tom”(Marguriett Price) Sawyer .She was married for 35 years to the late Charles Merritt Grace, III. Mrs. Grace worked for Sears & Roebuck Company for many years.Because Mr. Grace was a Shiner and a Mason for over 50 years, Mrs. Grace made beautifully detailed Easter baskets each year as a fundraiser for The Shriner's Hospitals for Children. Mrs. Grace is survived by two stepsons, Charles Merritt Grace, IV (Kathy) of Florence, S.C. and Joseph Page Grace, Sr. of Greenville, S.C. and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2013, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire Funeral Home.Family will speak with friends immediately following the service.
