Blanche Watson Dew, 97, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
Blanche was born in Marion County, the daughter of the late Alex and Retha Jane Bourne Watson. She retired from Sears in Savannah, Georgia after 30 years. She was a member of Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, working in her flower beds, and riding around in her BMW (Golf Cart) and the Atlanta Braves.
She was married to the late Thomas C. Dew for 62 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, David LeGrande Dew; son-in-law, John W. Turner; brother, Cecil Wilcox Watson; and three sisters, Altha Jane (Sis) Johnson, Verna Maude Goude, and Freda Courtney.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy Dew Turner and Janet Dew (Ken) Trivette; daughter-in-law, Judy Weitman Dew; sister-in-law, Sue Dew Tyler; grandchildren, John Walker (Kay) Turner Jr., Thomas Mark (Gretchen) Turner, Jason Thomas (Patricia) Dew, Stephanie Renee Dew, David Legrande (Candice) Dew, Timothy Stephen Dew and Nathan Trivette; great grandchildren, Courtney Suzanne Turner, Jeremy Walker Turner, Thomas Anthony Turner, Robert Austin Dew, And Kaelyn Marie Labarowski and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Linda, her nurse with McLeod Home Health and the staff of McLeod Hospice house for the care of their mother during this time.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Wednesday January 14, 2026 at Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church with the service to follow at 3:00 PM.
A burial will take place at Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
