Betty Singletary Jones

Betty Singletary Jones, 81, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Mrs. Jones was born a daughter of the late Douglas O. Singletary and Lillie Stewart Singletary. She was a member of College Park Baptist Church as well as a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. Mrs. Jones was a retired registered nurse from Dr. Conyers O’Bryan’s practice and the Presbyterian Home.She also volunteered at McLeod Hospital. She is survived by her sons, James Anthony “Tony” Jones (Cheryl); Ronald Anderson Jones (Kathy) and Robert Allen Jones (Debbie), all of Florence; daughter-in-law, Cathy Jones; grandchildren, Ashley Parker (Sammy), Pamela Zubrzycki (Tom), Trey Jones (Amber), Jennifer Atkinson (Charles), Kimberly Jones, Kaylea Jones (James), Stacy Jones, Shawn Campbell, Stephanie Holston, Melissa Chapman and Tayler Young; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, James A. Jones,; her son, John Douglas Jones; and all of her siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery in Coward, SC. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
