Betty L. Turner

BETTY L. TURNER FLORENCE, S.C. BETTY L. TURNER, 84, of Florence, formerly of Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mrs. Turner was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late William Meyer and Muriel Konkle. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word. She and her husband of 58 years, the late Graham C. "Chris" Turner had been active in their former church, Faith Lutheran Church in Merritt Island, Fl for many years. Mrs. Turner is survived by her children, Wayne Turner of Syracuse, NY, Rainey (Ernie) Grotte of Bowie, MD, and Tina (David) Kolb of Florence; grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Grotte of Bowie, MD and Heather (Michael) Cranney of Philadelphia, PA;great-grandchildren, Adriana and BrooklynCranney of Philadelphia, PA; her canine companions, Buddy, Jr. and Bandit Kolb, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in the Lutheran Church of The Incarnate Word. Interment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
