Betty Mcalister Keefe

Betty McAlister Keefe, 87, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015. Mrs. Keefe was born in Coward. SC, a daughter of the late Daniel Cunningham McAlister and Effie Ray McAlister. She retired in 1986 from the South Carolina Highway Patrol Office where she worked as a secretary.Mrs. Keefe was a member of Pamplico First Baptist Church.She also served as a past board member of the Pamplico Library, the Zoning Board in Pamplico and the Board of Mental Health Association in Florence County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Junior Keefe. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; a special caregiver, Shirley Brown, and special friend, Betty Wells. A viewing for Mrs. Keefe will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
