Betty Lee Deberry

Betty Lee DeBerry, 88, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Mrs. DeBerry was born in Columbia, SC a daughter of the late Frank Brown and Beulah Brown.She retired as supervisor from McLeod Hospital.She was an active member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church until she became ill.She was a devout Christian and lived by the words “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24:15. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Larry Horne. Surviving are a son, Dennis Horne of Florence; daughter, Susan (Victor) Hinson of Florence; grandchildren, Evan (Nikki) Horne, Amy Hinson and Kellie Hinson, all of Florence; great-grandchildren, Dylan Horne and Kinsey Horne of Florence and a special friend, Stewart Clarke of Florence. Memorials may be made to the Hebron Colony Ministries, 356 Old Turnpike Road, Boone, NC28607 or to the Grace Homes, PO Box 407, Santee, SC29142. The family will receive friends from 1 -2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service and 6 - 8 PM Monday at the residence of her daughter, Susan Hinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
