Betsy Mcpherson Sandifer

Betsy Elwood McPherson Sandifer, 49, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. She leaves behind her husband, Jimmy Sandifer and son, Eric; father C. Joe McPherson, Sr.; brothers, Stevie (Bonnie) McPherson and C. Joe McPherson, Jr.; Shannon (Lenny) King, Emma and Ethan and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha McPherson; sister, Dell Haynes; and niece, Michelle Haynes. Betsy worked as the legal records clerk of Florence County for over fifteen years.She was a graduate of South Florence High School.She enjoyed fishing with Eric and spending time with her Dad and his garden. She never met a stranger and showed her love to friends and family abundantly.She made life-long friends while at the County and had a quick wit and the gift of making people laugh. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at McPherson Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Family will receive friends immediately following the service.
