Bertis Henry Turner

BERTIS HENRY TURNER FLORENCE, SC Bertis Henry Turner, 78, of Florence, passed away Monday, February 06, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Turner was born in Pamplico, the son of the late A. Z. and Clara Powell Turner. He was a US Air Force Veteran, having served on the Atlas Missile Program. He had served as office manager for American Bakeries (Merita) and as an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He retired from Weyerhouser Paper Company. He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Rachel Creel Turner of Florence; his daughter, Detta T. (Kevin) Adams of Darlington; two grandchildren, Aaron Michael Eades of Murrells Inlet and Logan Sierra Eades, of Hartsville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in the chapel of the Florence Baptist Temple. Burial will follow in Mt. Elon FWB Cemetery in Pamplico, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Florence Baptist Temple.
