Barbara C. Seif

Barbara C. Seif, 83, died peacefully Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Heritage Home in Florence.Ms. Seif was born March 14, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Arthur E. and Agnes B. Croxdale. Ms. Seif was first and foremost a homemaker who raised five children.Later she went on to work for the State Department of Social Services as a secretary, retiring after more than 20 years.After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering at the Leatherman Senior Center, visiting folks, and backyard bird-watching.She was a fine mother and a good friend and will be missed by many. Ms. Seif is survived by her daughter, Sandy (David) Andrews of Florence, four sons: Randy (Joy) Seif of Florence; Brian Seif of Florence; David (Becca) Seif of Birmingham, Alabama; and Alan Seif of Honolulu, Hawaii.Eight grandchildren: Erin, Abby, Mark, Laura, Elizabeth, Denny, Wendell and Ashley; and three great grands: Ever, Stewart, and Wesley. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, P.
