Barbara Carol Butler Lee

Barbara Carol Butler Lee, 69, of Effingham, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Ms. Lee was born in Dillon, SC a daughter of the late Melvin Butler and Erma Louise Moody Butler.She was loyal member of Dawsey United Methodist Church and a member of the Leatherman Center where she attended their bible study classes.She had worked for John’s Drive In, Krispy Kreme and Southern Bell.Barbara loved her grandchildren and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Louise Butler, and by a sister, Janet Parrott. Surviving are her daughter, Melissa (Micheal) Rogers of Timmonsville; grandchildren, C.J. Rogers and Brad Rogers; brothers, Melvin David (Annette) Butler of Charleston, Stephen (Lee) Butler of Apple Valley, CA, Rhett (Mary) Butler and Stanley (Faye) Butler, both of Florence; sisters, Sharon (Andrew) Blackman of Gastonia, NC and Wendy (Mark) McGee of Florence. Memorials may be made to Dawsey United Methodist Church, PO Box 12461, Florence, SC29504. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Dawsey United Methodist Church with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 in the church sanctuary. Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
