Barbara Jean Yarborough Rogers

Barbara Jean Yarborough Rogers, 75, of Lamar, SC, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018. Mrs. Rogers was born the daughter of the late Ruth Jordan Yarborough and Thomas Leo Yarborough.She was a member of Newman Swamp Southern Methodist Church.Mrs. Rogers loved her family, cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Shelley Rogers Almers; sisters, Jennie Lou Hucks, Corrie Mae Bell, and Annie Ruth McLendon; and brother, Thomas Leo Yarborough, Jr. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband, Francis Lacon Rogers; son, Bryan Lacon Rogers (Starr) of Lamar; son-in-law, Kevin Almers of Florence; grandchildren, Bryan Luke Rogers, William Lacon Almers and Evelyn Ruth Almers; and special niece, Crystal Bell Williams of Lamar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 24, 2018, at Newman Swamp Southern Methodist Church, 1037 Lee State Park Road, Lamar, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery in Lamar. Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday at the church.
