Aurelia "Kitty" Cordrey Creel Windham

Aurelia Cordrey Creel Windham Aurelia (Kitty) Cordrey Creel Windham, 82, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at McLeod Hospice House, after a long battle with heart disease. Kitty, as she was affectionately known, was born on August 22, 1930 in Richmond, Va.She was the daughter of Alfred Cordrey & Blanche Cordrey, and Elizabeth Hurst Baldwin.She was first married to Lamar Creel, deceased, and is survived by her husband, Harold Thomas (Tom) Windham of the home.She was predeceased by her father and mothers, son, Davie Creel, brothers Sanders R. McDaniel, Cecil C. Cordrey, Marcus A. Cordrey, and one sister, Dorothy Joyner.She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Larsen (John), granddaughter, Tiffany Alvey, and grandson, Joshua Larsen, all of Florence, SC., brother, Lawrence S. McDaniel of Norfolk, Va., sisters,Edith Edwards of Atlanta, Ga., Marlena (Art) Ruby of Virginia Beach, Va., Arlene Fly (Jerry) ofNorfolk, Va., and Dawn Sturgeon (Lawrence) of Hampton, Va., great grandsons, Brandon Alvey and Dustin Combs, step-son, Tommy Windham (Darlene), Darlington, SC., step-daughters, Judy Graham, Darlington, SC and Jan Wilson (Hamp) of Florence, SC. Kitty was a member of the Eastern Star and Red Hats in Norfolk, Va., and was very active in both. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home of Florence, SC.A memorial service will be held at Southside Baptist Church, Florence, SC., with Reverend Jim Crooks and Reverend Bruce Kimbrel officiating, Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM.Visitation will be at the church prior to the service, 1:00 to 2:00 PM.Committal Service will be at Mount Hope Mausoleum.The family will be receiving guest at 317 Arabian Street, Darlington, SC.
