AUDRINE BAXLEY THOMAS FLORENCE, SC Audrine Baxley Thomas, 87 years old, wife of Elijah Halsey Thomas, went to be with her Lord and Savioron Tuesday, November 25, 2014.Mrs. Thomas was born in Williamsburg County, daughter of William Earl Baxley and Bessie Lou Parsons Baxley.She grew up in Pamplico and graduated from Pamplico High School. Audrine and Elijah joined Calvary Baptist Church on December 13th, 1959.During the 55 years she was a member, she faithfully attended church services.Audrine was a group leader of her Sunday School Class, helped keep the babies in the nursery, and was a powerful prayer warrior on the prayer committee.She was a wonderful mother who taught her children to love Jesus.She was a warm and playful grandmother, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her.She was deeply loved. Her last employment was with Clemson Extension Service.She was a homemaker for many years.Surviving are husband Elijah Thomas of sixty-six years, daughter Phyllis Thomas Lee (Robert), of Florence and son Harold Gene Thomas (Pauline) of Jacksonville, Florida, five grandchildren Christina Thomas, Scott Thomas, Fernando Pe̱a (Christina), Vanessa Pe̱a Brown (Michael), Kevin Pe̱a (Angelica) and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Edna McGee (formerly Mrs. J. J. Thompson of Hemingway), Margie Baxley, and Mary Lee Dickerson and her brothers Lamar, Clarence, Allen, Alfred, William and Wilton Earl Baxley. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
