AUBREY MERLE POSTON, SR. FLORENCE, SC AUBREY MERLE POSTON, Sr.,82, of Florence, SC died Friday, March 10, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Poston was born in Pamplico, SC a son of the late Harry Sanders Poston and Cecil Collins Poston.He was a member of Evergreen Mason Lodge, the Omar Shrine, the Omar Characters and the York Rite Body.He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon of the church.He was also the founder of the Poston Packing Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joanne Waltz. Surviving are his wife, Doris Hutchinson Poston of Florence; daughter, Linda (Danny) Miles of Florence; son, Aubrey M. (Suzyn) Poston, Jr. of Evergreen; grandchild, Danielle (Rev. Brandon) Hutson of Lexington, SC; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Hutson and Myles Hutson, both of Lexington, SC. Memorials may be made to the Evergreen Baptist Church Building Fund, 6316 Pamplico Highway, Effingham, SC29541. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Evergreen Baptist Church.Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
