Aster Hughes

Aster Hughes, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Mr. Hughes was born a son of the late W. Roth Hughes and Alberta Skipper Hughes.He retired from Stone Container as a paper machine tender.He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. He is survived by his son, Greg Hughes (Jeannie) of Florence; daughters, Brenda Coleman (Wayne) of Myrtle Beach and Gwen Windham (Gene) of Florence; three grandchildren, Dominique Coleman-Norris of Myrtle Beach, Gregory Hughes and Chapel Hughes both of Florence; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Zane and Zachary Norris all of Myrtle Beach and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Dottie Mae Jordan Hughes; sisters, Tina Johnson, Naomi Shelly, Cecil Jordan and Myrtle Lee Squires; and brother, Oren Hughes. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel. Entombment will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
