Ashley Nelson Alexander

Ashley Nelson Alexander, 31, of Florence, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD after an illness. Ashley was born in Florence, a son of Rev. Nelson and Rose Marie Baughman Alexander.He had been employed as a security systems and electronics expert for several years.He was a member of Amanda Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors, in addition to his parents are his wife, Audrey Moore Alexander of Florence; his sons, Ashton and Gabriel Alexander; step-son, Scott Hardee; his nephews who he raised as sons, Khristian and Isaiah Thomas; two sisters, Kellie Marie Alexander and Karen Lee Alexander; his maternal grandfather, Lester (Avon) Baughman, Jr. and a number of aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lurie and Bertie Alexander and his maternal grandmother, Mary Lee Baughman. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial following in the church cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dena Doyle, Shane Stokes, and to all members of Amanda P.H.
