Arthur Townsend Moore, III

Arthur Townsend Moore III, 25, of Florence, South Carolina, passed away Friday, July 4th, 2025.

Townsend was born on September 9th, 1999, in Florence, SC, to Elizabeth Case Moore and Arthur Townsend Moore Jr.

Townsend is remembered by family and friends as selfless, thoughtful, loyal, reliable, and a light in everyone’s lives. He graduated from West Florence High School in 2018 and went on to study marketing at Clemson University. After college, he began his career at Edward Jones Investments as an Associate Financial Advisor.

Those who were blessed enough to know Townsend knew how deeply he loved the Lord; he was a devoted member of Faith Chapel. He found happiness in playing with his dog, Ollie, traveling, sitting on the beach, exercising, watching Clemson football and the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his family on the farm. Townsend was exceptionally thoughtful, always putting others before himself. He had a gift for making everyone feel special. Townsend was an incredible friend and brought warmth and joy to every room he entered.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory is his sister, Elizabeth Blakeney Moore; maternal grandparents, Harriet Case and Bruce Case; aunts, Shannon Case and Gail Lunn; uncle, Greg Lunn; cousins, James Nelson, Anne Breeden Lunn, and Adelaide Lunn; a chosen brother, Lucas Hatchell; and many other beloved friends.

Townsend was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Arthur Townsend “Pop” Moore Sr. and Gail Breeden “Honey” Moore.

The celebration of life will be led by Pastor Shannon Billingsley at 11:00am on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1021 S Ebenezer Rd, Florence, SC 29501.
