Arthur "A.W." Joyner

Arthur Will “A.W.” Joyner, 88, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Mr. Joyner was born a son of the late Will Elijah Joyner and Lillian Morris Joyner McGee.He worked with Quality Motors that was later known as Cardell Carter and later worked with King Cadillac. Mr. Joyner was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and served as a Church Deacon.He loved his family and had a great passion for bowling. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Joyner and Leroy Joyner; and his sister, Martha Joyner Broach. Mr. Joyner is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Jeffords Joyner; sons, Terry Will Joyner (Ann Tiller) and Robert Venson Joyner, both of Florence; grandchildren, Chapel Joyner Isgett, Syndi Joyner Webster, Andrew Will Joyner (Sian) and Jada Joyner Case; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Joyner Pierce; and sister-in-law, Julia Joyner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, P. O.
