ARTHUR “ART” HOWARD BERG FLORENCE, SC Florence – Arthur “Art” Howard Berg, 72, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in a Florence hospital after an illness. He was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Benjamin Berg and Katie Eugenia Flowers Berg. He was a member St. Anthony Catholic Church.He was a paint pro at Lowes and also the owner and operator of Berg’s Painting and Wallpaper for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Pete Berg. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia, of 53 years; sons, Kevin (Robin) Berg and Barry (Dina) Berg; daughter, Sherrie (El) Jordan; brothers, Harry (Billie Ann) Berg, “Jimmy” (Virginia) Berg and Joe Berg; sister ,Beverly (Bubba) Conner; grandchildren, Danielle Pierce, Melissa Berg, Zack Berg, Bailee Berg, Aaron Jordan, Madison Jordan and McKinley Jordan; great-grandchild, Gunner Wilkes, all of Florence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday December 11, 2015 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends and family from Noon – 1:00 PM prior to the service.
