Anthony Maurice Pruitt

Anthony Maurice Pruitt, 53, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Mr. Pruitt was born in Ripley, TN a son of Darlene McCauley Pruitt and the late Roby W. Pruitt, Sr.He was a volunteer at McLeod Regional Medical Center for many years.He was a former member of Southside Baptist Church and a longtime member of Greenwood Baptist Church.He loved everyone, wanted to help others, wanted to preach and sing, and was a 100% Panthers fan. Surviving are his mother of Florence; brothers, Roby W. (Teresa) Pruitt, Jr. and Ron (Donna) Pruitt; nieces, Jessica (Randy) Hatchell, Kelsey Nicole Pruitt, Heather (Sam) Bowen, and Brandy Lynn Pruitt; great-niece, Avery Pruitt Hatchell. Memorials may be made to Florence Disabilities and Special Needs, 1211 E. National Cemetery Road, Florence, SC 29506. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 pm Monday, April 25, 2022 at Greenwood Baptist Church with the service to follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
