Annie Mae Talbert Goforth, 93, of Florence, SC, formerly of North Augusta, SC, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017. Mrs. Goforth was born in Cabot, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Lawrence Talbert and Maude Boyd Talbert.She was a former supervisor of a bomb plant in Arkansas during WWII.Mrs. Goforth taught 4K for 24 years at the Fairview Presbyterian Church, where she was a member.While teaching, she took on the additional responsibility of assisting in the church office.After her retirement from teaching, she became the church's financial secretary, a post she held until her retirement in 2006, when she was 82 years old. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Clyde Goforth.Mr. Goforth was an electrical engineer at WRDW News 12 TV station. Mrs. Goforth is survived by her sons, Clyde Scott Goforth of North Augusta, SC and Joseph Earl (Evelyn) Goforth of Florence, SC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Fairview Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens.
