Andrew Pickens Moore

Andrew Pickens Moore, 30, son of Benjamin D. and Carol C. Moore, died at his home in Florence on Monday, October 3, 2016. Mr. Moore was born in Florence on June 11, 1986.He was a graduate of South Florence High School and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in December, 2012 from Francis Marion University.He also has taken courses in Information Systems at Francis Marion University.He was employed at The Wukela Law Firm since 2004. Mr. Moore was struck by a virulent form of leukemia in September of 2006.For the last ten years, he has battled this disease and its after effects with grace, courage and bravery.The love of his life was music and he was a brilliant classic rock and blues guitar player. He is a true hero to his parents, sister, family and friends. Surviving are his parents of the home, one sister, Katherine (Michael) Gordon and niece, Mason Gordon. Visitation will be held at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. A Celebration of Andrew’s life will take place at 1845 Brigadoone Lane in Florence beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6th.
