Amanda Dawn Jones

Amanda Dawn Jones of Florence, age 35, died on Monday, June 12, 2017.Amanda was born in Florence on April 6, 1982, a loving daughter of John Paul Jones and Mandie Harrelson Jones. She was a graduate of Florence Christian School and received her degree in nursing from Central Carolina in Sumter.Her past employments include McLeod Regional Medical Center, The Floyd Medical Group, Carolinas Hospital System and Hospice Care of South Carolina. She was a member of Florence Baptist Temple as an adult and College Park Baptist when she was younger.She loved her Lord and was bold in her witness for Christ.Amanda was a very compassionate, caring nurse and for those in need.She was involved with the Pee Dee Coalition. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Mason, of Florence, who was the love of her life; sister, Allison Jones McBride (David) and special nephew and niece, Joseph and Caroline McBride of Florence; and her grandmother, Alice Cox Harrelson of Georgetown. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ted Harrelson of Georgetown; Uncle Roy Harrelson of North Myrtle Beach; grandparents, Joseph Ezra and Dell Jones of Florence; and great-grandparents, Neal and Mary Alice Cox of Georgetown and Ruth Harrelson of Surfside Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at College Park Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Church.
